Hofstra University students would like to give their overwhelming love and support to all of those affected by the tragedy that occurred in Newtown Connecticut. This tragedy made many realize that we need to begin to take action as a world to end events such as these. In the past few years these incidents have been occurring far too often and each time it is the negative attention brought out by the media that ends up motivating new people to do it again. We need to start believing in each other, helping each other and remembering those who were lost instead of those who brought harm to many innocent lives. Hofstra Has Hope that we can create a better tomorrow and a brighter future, but it can not be only Hofstra that believes this, it must be everyone.
We ask that you share this video to support all of the families affected by this horrific incident and to start to spread the message that the world needs to start changing. Hofstra has hope in all of you.

On October 6th, 2012, my two sisters and I ran the Run for the Wild 5K at the New York Aquarium on Coney Island. This run raises money to help the Wildlife Conservation Society protect our world’s walruses. The Run for the wild is also done at the Bronx Zoo during the spring to help benefit other wildlife animals.
